Ghost Motions for Federal  Criminal Defense Attorneys

Persuasive motions and briefs must do more than advance a defendant’s argument. They must be coherent, concise, and creative. Given the stakes involved in criminal litigation, the importance of meticulous research and blending these three C’s is more than a checklist, it’s an art form.

The playing field in federal court is far from fair which means that written advocacy (motions practice)- the precursor to hearings- is a critical component for effective representation. But the challenge for most criminal defense attorneys is balancing the need to bring in new business while robustly defending clients throughout various stages of representation. It simply becomes both a function of time and skill.

Blayne’s pro se and ghostwritten motions and appeals have been successful in multiple federal district and appellate courts throughout the country.

Blayne is not currently accepting new clients at this time.

Fiction Projects

Over the last several years, I have completed three manuscripts in the crime/thriller genre with my writing partner, my father, a former case officer in the United States Clandestine Services and Senior Instructor at the CIA’s spy training school in Williamsburg, Virginia, “The Farm.” Together we found harmony tough to achieve in a writing team. We are pleased to announce that we are in the final stages of polishing our first fiction novel, which will be traditionally published later this year.

Non Fiction Projects

Years of exposure to bad lawyers and helpless defendants that suffered the consequences from said lawyers inspired this 300+ page manual on criminal defense. I have included a complete guide to the true inner workings of the Kafkaesque Bureau of Prisons and what every defense lawyer and defendant should know before entering into the system. In addition to defense strategies and techniques for the most prosecuted federal crimes, there is advice from leading practitioners in the field. The scheduled release date is February 2024.
